Celebrating two classic narrow-gauge steam locos!

‘Two-Foot Tour’
at the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum
and the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad & Museum

2 Steam Locomotives – 2 Railroads – 2 Foot Gauge

One day only - Saturday, July 21, 2018!

WW&F #9Join Mass Bay RRE for a summertime jaunt to Maine to ride behind and photograph two recently-restored, classic narrow-gauge steam locomotives: the WW&F’s No. 9, and the MNG’s Bridgton & Saco River No. 7, which returned to service this spring after a multi-year, top-to-bottom restoration.

The first stop for our exclusive tour will be the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway Museum in Alna, Maine, where we’ll be able to ride both the 10:30 and 12 noon trains behind WW&F No. 9. Our group will have full access to the Museum grounds, including the car barns, stations and shop tours. A cookout lunch (hamburgers, hot dogs, etc.) is included in our group’s visit.

MNG #7After lunch our group tour will head back to the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad in Portland, arriving in time for the scheduled 3:00 departure behind MNG’s Bridgton & Saco River No. 7, followed by an exclusive 4:00 PM departure that will include photo stops and run-by opportunities

Our chartered motorcoach package tour departs from Boston’s South Station at 6:45 AM and from the Anderson RTC in Woburn at 7:00 AM. Passengers may also board the tour in Portland, Maine, departing from the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad on Fore Street at 8:30 AM (parking passes will be provided for those boarding in Portland). Return to Boston is scheduled for 7:30 PM. A very limited number of train-only seats are available for those wishing to drive to Alna and Portland on their own

This trip operates ONE DAY ONLY, rain or shine. Space is strictly limited to 70 passengers – order early to avoid disappointment. All sales are final and tickets are not refundable. Alcoholic beverages and smoking will not be permitted aboard this train. Tickets will be mailed to you about 10 days prior to the trip; we will send driving directions to the boarding locations with your tickets.   Special discounted fares are available for Mass Bay RRE members only. Please notify us before ordering if special accommodations (handicap seating, etc.) are required.
